Tumblr users now have the ability to optimize their internet presence. This past week, the micro-blogging platform was updated to include an “Activity” feature that measures blog metrics.
The feature is free and available to all Tumblr users. It can be found on the sidebar of your Dashboard, under “Posts” and Followers.” The feature shows your total amount of notes, followers and new followers per 24-hour, 3-day, 7-day or month period, you receive in response to your blogging efforts. It displays a line graph of each post during that period, allowing you to see which were the most popular. Below the graph are your four “biggest fans,” or blogs who have done the most liking and re-blogging of your posts.
The free Activity feature is part of a larger Tumblr-endorsed analytics platform created by Union Metrics. Tumblr teamed up with Union in November to offer analytics to its professional bloggers and businesses.
Union’s Tumblr plans are broken down into high and low cost tiers. Tumblr users can track one blog for free and up to three blogs for $25 per month. Packages are available for businesses starting at $199. These include metrics for your topics, your blog and your competitors’ blogs.
